What do we offer?

As a Frontend Developer at Nitor, you have a chance to take full responsibility for our customer’s Frontend development where you will get to participate in meaningful and interesting projects.

How does it sound, if you are getting paid for your own hobby projects too? At Nitor, you’ll be able to use 10 % of your working hours for your own projects, we call this Core time. Of course you can develop your skills in the industry’s best trainings and conferences.

Learning and working together as a team are one of the key principles in Nitor’s culture. We also have our own Frontend Forum, which gathers together all Niroreans who are interested in Frontend topics and want to share their knowledge and best practices for example new Frontend technologies.

Why should you join Nitor?

Nitor’s development projects currently employ about 200 software professionals who are leading experts in their field. We apply agile development methods, testing automation, and continuous delivery.

Nitor’s Frontend developers come from a wide variety of background.

Niko Laitinen, Nitorean since 2014, emphasizes the understanding of the bigger picture for front-end developers.

“We are looking for a co-worker who wants to make user interfaces both user-friendly and functional. Competence in usability and visual presentation is big an advantage in the job. On the whole, front-end developers should understand how things interact: the solution architecture, REST and microservice architecture – not only within an application, but also its interfaces with other systems. Testability, capacity for further development, and maintainability are vital to us.”, Niko says.

Juuso Soikkeli, who started at Nitor in early 2017, does his job in a passionate and customer-oriented manner.

“The most important thing in my work is to understand the customer needs and deliver the best possible solution to meet them. Knowledge of web browser performance stumbling blocks and tools helps in my work, and an understanding of REST API, aggressive caching and the delivery network is also important.”

Are you the Frontend Developer that we are looking for?

We are looking for a pragmatic developer, who is interested in modern Frontend technologies and speaks the same language as our designers. You are passionate about intuitive, easy-to-use and visually appealing applications. You have comprehensive skills in Frontend development from bundling to accessibility and maybe you have worked also with Design Systems. We are not looking for Full Stack Developer minus Backend, but generally in-depth knowledge about Frontend development.
