Phoenix Project for Business focuses on business agility and emphasizes knowledge sharing, experimental culture, and the speed of value delivery. The simulation aims at creating a safe environment where participants can experience digitalization and modern organization challenges. Furthermore, the simulation enables the participants to experiment with different models to bring solutions to current challenges. As an end result, these new working methods could be implemented in their organization after the game.

The simulation can be carried out virtually or in a classroom setting. The virtual simulation also allows strengthening collaboration and communication in times of remote work.

Description

5-8 people participate in the game, forming an imaginary business team. At the beginning of the game, the team gets used to the new way of working and experiences some traditional challenges, including a lack of common goals and slow work progress.

During the simulation, the team systematically uses continuous learning and fast feedback cycles, allowing them to experience how agile ways of working could benefit them. They get hands-on experience on how business is affected when work is organized based on value streams, creating visibility through transparency, and defined principles for prioritization.

After the game, the team will have a better understanding of their organization’s challenges, paired with an experience of how the agile principles and DevOps may improve their operations, leading to increased value.
