April 7, 2020 · 2 min read timeThe Digital Engineering company Nitor has a new leader as Olli Auvinen, the company's former Chief Operating Officer, and one of its founders started in a new role in March as the Chief Executive Officer. The former CEO Matti Vilmi will continue at Nitor as Senior Advisor concentrating on coaching the next generation of company leaders.
The Digital engineering company management is going through changes as Olli Auvinen, one of the company founders and the Chairman of the Board takes over as the new CEO. Nitor has grown steadily over the past few years, and in 2019 the company's revenue was approximately 29 million euros. Nitor has excelled in surveys measuring both employee and customer satisfaction, and today it employs over 200 digital engineers in Finland and Sweden.

Olli Auvinen is one of the founders of Nitor and has been part of the company's management since the beginning. Before starting as the CEO, he served as the Chief Operating Officer. Auvinen M.Sc (Computer Science), M.Sc. (Finance) has over 20 years of experience working in the software industry. Before co-founding Nitor, Auvinen was at software company First Hop working with several international telecommunications operators and at Finnair in different specialist positions.
Matti Vilmi, the CEO of Nitor since its establishment in 2007, will continue in the company as Senior Advisor taking care of coaching the new generation of company leaders. Vilmi will also act as a deputy CEO during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over the past few years, Helsinki and Stockholm based Nitor has broadened its offering.
