🧑🚀 Brief Description of Your Work
As an AI Architect at Nitor, you sit at the intersection of business strategy and AI engineering. You're the person who translates complex business needs into coherent AI architectures, and who understands what's happening in the codebase to know whether the architecture will actually work in production.
On a client engagement, you work closely with business leadership, architects and developers - acting as a bridge between what the business needs and what AI can realistically deliver. You're comfortable challenging assumptions, setting realistic expectations, and making the case for the right architectural decisions even when they're not the easiest ones.
In practice, this means working across a wide range of business problems for example:
Designing multi-agent architectures that replace legacy automation
Building semantic search and RAG systems on top of enterprise data
Helping clients choose the right AI platform, LLM and agent harness for their specific use case
Driving the long-term technical evolution of client platforms - investigating and implementing agentic AI solutions that transform how their customers and teams operate
You own the architectural vision end-to-end, and you stay involved long enough to make sure it actually gets built right.
You'll also help shape how we at Nitor approach AI architecture - contributing to our engineering assets in the AI space, internal practices and mentoring our employees.

✅ What could you bring with you?
You'll excel in this role if you combine strategic architectural thinking with genuine hands-on AI engineering experience.
AI architecture & engineering
Deep understanding of LLM-based system design: RAG architectures, multi-agent systems, tool use, and the balance between deterministic and probabilistic agentic workflows
Experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, or Claude Agent SDK
Familiarity with AI platforms such as Microsoft Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform (formerly Vertex AI)
Experience with agentic memory architectures and context graphs; familiarity with retrieval and knowledge grounding patterns such as vector search or knowledge graph integration
Understanding of LLMOps and EvalOps, including how to test, monitor, and observe AI systems in production
Cloud & systems
Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Practical programming experience, you need to understand what's actually being built
We're not strict about years of experience, what matters more is the depth of your architectural thinking and your hands-on experience with AI systems in production. A strong background in software architecture or engineering, combined with genuine AI expertise, is what we're looking for. Fluent Finnish and English are important, as we work with clients both domestically and internationally.
🏆 What if you choose us?
We believe that recruitment is not about a company selecting a new employee. Ultimately, you make the choice. And we're here to help you make it.
Get in touch if:
You want to work on AI architecture problems that don't have a ready-made blueprint, close enough to the business to shape the strategy, and close enough to the code to know it'll actually work
You find it meaningful to leave something lasting behind: organisations that think and build differently about AI, not just a system that runs in production
You want to influence not just client projects but how Nitor approaches AI architecture as a practice, this is a chance to shape something from the inside
You thrive on variety - different industries, different stacks, different problems
Skilled colleagues working alongside you, excellent development opportunities, and optimal working conditions are important to you
You feel that community spirit and wishing colleagues well are meaningful values in work life
You're ok with working normal hours and ensuring that free time and work stay balanced
Your work and daily life are also supported by our diverse benefits and opportunities, for example:
You can use 10% of your work time for professional development
€7,100 "Hardware Bank" for equipment and home office purchases, replenished monthly
Full paid vacation days from the start of employment regardless of start date
€100–2,000 bonus for each certification you complete
Shared trips, events, and hobby groups from running club to board game club

👥 We Listen to You
We want to offer our experts the best possible workplace and support the development of your expertise. At Nitor, it's precisely you, your unique skills, and personal interests that determine the direction of your career.
AI architecture is evolving fast, and so are we. You'll be part of a tight-knit community of architects, engineers, and consultants who are genuinely curious about where production AI is heading, and honest about the fact that nobody has all the answers yet. You won't be figuring things out alone: you'll have colleagues to think alongside, share findings with, and challenge your assumptions. Interesting training sessions, events, and conferences keep you at the frontier, and you can use part of your work time for learning new things, developing our AI architecture practice, and contributing to the broader conversation around what good AI architecture actually looks like in this field.
With us, your career path isn't predetermined - on the contrary, we encourage you to explore your interests without unnecessary hierarchy and bureaucracy.
Our way of working is based on trust, openness, and respect for each other. Every Nitorean brings their own contribution to the company's operations. We value and cherish diversity and the added value it brings to our clients.
