Azure services (e.g. AKS, Functions, Service Bus, Entra ID, API Management), infrastructure as code (Bicep, Terraform), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), programming languages (e.g. C# / .NET, Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Python), system integrations (e.g. Dynamics 365, Logic Apps)

Description

Let's be honest – Nitor hasn't traditionally been known as a Microsoft house. But Azure is growing fast among our customers, and we have interesting projects waiting for Azure architects. We already have strong Azure expertise and an active Azure community in-house – so you'll be working with like-minded people from day one. We're a 250+ person consultancy company and an AWS, Microsoft, and Google Cloud partner – we work cloud-agnostically, but right now, Azure is where the momentum is. If cloud technologies (Azure in particular), DevOps, and coding resonate with you – read on. 😎

💻 The Role of an Azure Cloud Architect at Nitor

Our client projects are typically challenging and professionally rewarding. Our clients include some of Finland's most well-known consumer brands – there's a good chance you've already used something we've built. Projects range from legacy modernisations to greenfield solutions built from scratch. In practice, this means building integration platforms and custom systems, AWS→Azure migrations, Dynamics 365 integrations, GitHub rollouts, or supporting cloud-native application development. Not just infrastructure – real end-to-end work.

In most projects, you'll work as part of the client's development team alongside several experienced Nitor colleagues – projects typically last from one to several years.

You'll also become part of Nitor's Azure community – a group that shares knowledge, sparks architecture discussions, and organises meetups. If you're keen to drive Azure expertise forward, both internally and externally, there's room for that here.

We want to spend our time solving business-critical problems for our clients. We apply test automation, continuous delivery, and other agile practices in line with the DevOps model.

🤖 AI as part of our everyday work

AI tools are part of how we work – not because we have to, but because they make our work better and faster. GitHub Copilot, Azure AI, and other AI-assisted tools are everyday staples for us. If you're interested in going deeper with Azure AI services, we'll give you the space and support to do that.

✅ You'll thrive in this role if you have:

  • A strong software development background – this is not purely an infrastructure role. We expect hands-on coding experience (C# / .NET, Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, or Python) and the ability to contribute to implementation alongside architecture work

  • Around 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and software development – experience specifically in Azure environments is a strong advantage

  • Azure architecture expertise: Well-Architected Framework, landing zones, and selecting and using Azure services (Compute, Networking, Security, Integration)

  • Experience with infrastructure as code: Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform in an Azure context

  • CI/CD skills, e.g. GitHub Actions

  • Database knowledge and experience with system integrations (e.g. Azure Service Bus, API Management, Logic Apps)

  • A consultative, client-oriented mindset and strong interpersonal skills – our work is social, and a big part of your day-to-day involves close collaboration with client teams

  • Azure certifications such as AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus

  • Fluent Finnish and English

🏆 What if you chose us?

We believe recruitment isn't about the company choosing a new employee. You make the choice. And we're here to help you make it.

You should reach out if:

  • You want to work on long-term client relationships and projects – not short gigs, but real partnerships where you build Azure solutions from start to finish. AI is a genuine part of what we build,

  • Talented colleagues and your own Azure community matter to you. We already have strong Azure expertise in-house, and a community that sparks discussions, shares knowledge, and organises meetups. If you want to drive that forward externally too, there's room for it

  • Excellent learning and development opportunities are important to you

  • You feel that community spirit and wishing colleagues well are meaningful values in work life

  • You're happy working normal hours and keeping a healthy work-life balance

  • You want to work across the full development stack – from architecture to implementation, from infrastructure to code

Your day-to-day is also supported by:

  • You can use 10% of your work time for professional development

  • €7,100 "Hardware Bank" for equipment and home office purchases, replenished monthly

  • Full paid vacation days from the start of employment regardless of start date

  • €100–2,000 bonus for each certification you complete

  • Shared trips, events, and hobby groups from running club to board game club
