Description

Are you an AI engineer who has been thinking deeply about what it really takes to get AI from prototype to production? Are you ready to do that across industries where it actually matters? At Nitor, we help our clients build real AI capability: not just shipping solutions, but changing how teams think about and work with AI.

🤖 A short description of your role as a Senior AI Engineer

At Nitor, you're the person who takes AI from idea to production, not demos, but solutions that run in real business environments and actually deliver impact.

You work closely with clients: listening, understanding the business need, and translating it into something that ships. You contribute to architecture decisions, bring LLMOps and EvalOps practices to the team, and help clients grow their AI capabilities.

In practice, this means working on problems that range widely - from AI-powered customer service automation, to AI agents embedded in enterprise business processes, to LLM-powered systems that automate complex workflows for entire consultant teams. You own the solution end-to-end, and it has to work in production, not just in a demo.

You'll also help shape how we at Nitor approach AI engineering, this isn't just client work, it's a chance to influence how we build and deliver AI solutions together.

✅ What could you bring with you?

You'll shine in this role if you have:

  • Strong expertise in multiple programming languages (like TypeScript, Python, Kotlin, Java) and experience building production-grade AI/ML systems

  • Experience working with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar)

  • Experience with agent frameworks such as Deep Agents from LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, or Claude Agent SDK

  • Familiarity with AI platforms such as Microsoft AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI

  • Understanding of LLMOps practices and model lifecycle management

  • Experience with observability tools like LangSmith is a plus

  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

  • Solid Docker and containerization skills

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)

  • Fluent Finnish and English language skills, as we have clients both domestically and internationally

🏆 What if you choose us?

We believe that recruitment is not about a company selecting a new employee. Ultimately, you make the choice. And we're here to help you make it.

Get in touch if:

  • You want to build AI that runs in production, in real client environments, on real business processes, not in a sandbox

  • You're excited about shaping practices that don't fully exist yet - AI engineering is still being defined, and at Nitor you'll be one of the people defining it

  • You find it meaningful to leave something lasting behind: client teams that think and build differently about AI, not just a system that runs green

  • You thrive on variety - different industries, different stacks, different problems

  • Skilled colleagues working alongside you, excellent development opportunities, and optimal working conditions are important to you

  • You feel that community spirit and wishing colleagues well are meaningful values in work life

  • You're ok with working normal hours and ensuring that free time and work stay balanced

Your work and daily life are also supported by our diverse benefits and opportunities, for example:

  • You can use 10% of your work time for professional development

  • €7,100 "Hardware Bank" for equipment and home office purchases, replenished monthly

  • Full paid vacation days from the start of employment regardless of start date

  • €100–2,000 bonus for each certification you complete

  • Shared trips, events, and hobby groups from running club to board game club

👥 We Listen to You

We want to offer our experts the best possible workplace and support the development of your expertise. At Nitor, it's precisely you, your unique skills, and personal interests that determine the direction of your career.

AI engineering is evolving fast, and so are we. You'll be part of a tight-knit community of engineers and consultants who are genuinely curious about where production AI is heading - and honest about the fact that nobody has all the answers yet. You won't be figuring things out alone: you'll have colleagues to think alongside, share findings with, and challenge your assumptions. Interesting training sessions, events, and conferences keep you at the frontier, and you can use part of your work time for learning new things, developing our AI engineering practice, and contributing to the broader conversation around what good looks like in this field.

With us, your career path isn't predetermined - on the contrary, we encourage you to explore your interests without unnecessary hierarchy and bureaucracy.

Our way of working is based on trust, openness, and respect for each other. Every Nitorean brings their own contribution to the company's operations. We value and cherish diversity and the added value it brings to our clients.
