🧑🚀 Brief Description of Your Work
As a Senior Full Stack Developer at Nitor, your tasks can range from programming browser-based user interfaces to integrations and backend system development.
A significant part of your role is integrating our clients' business focus into the code you write. It's important that the solutions you build combine performance, cost-effectiveness, and beautifully simple, maintainable code.
Your tools include, depending on the client project, JavaScript, Node.js, React, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, .NET, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP), CI/CD tools, and databases. Sometimes you'll also get to utilize your possible functional programming skills, for example with Clojure.
Modern software development means building with AI. Our client projects are moving fast in this direction - from LLM-powered features to agentic workflows that change how entire teams operate. If you've already experimented with AI tools in your development work or built services that leverage language models, you'll hit the ground running. And if you're curious about where this is heading but haven't had the right environment to explore it yet, our projects and community offer exactly that.
We apply test automation, continuous delivery, and other agile development methods following the DevOps model. However, more important than following any single methodology is independent thinking and a pragmatic approach to applying proven practices.
More Concrete Details
Our client projects are typically challenging and professionally rewarding entities that offer experienced software developers the opportunity to both leverage and deepen their expertise. Project duration is often from one to several years depending on your own preferences. In most projects, you work as part of the client's development team, which also includes several other experienced Nitorians. ✅ What Could You Bring With You?
You'll excel in this role when you have a deep understanding of how modern web applications and digital services work and are built. You master the entire development chain from frontend to backend and understand how they work together.
We're not strict about years of experience, but we've noticed that 8+ years of experience in software development with various services and products helps you act as a value-adding expert in client projects.
Since full stack developer work is versatile and requires collaboration with various stakeholders, we value a consultative and client-focused mindset. Fluent Finnish and English language skills are important, as we have clients both domestically and internationally.
You have strong expertise in multiple programming languages and at least one cloud technology (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Our client projects commonly use JavaScript, Node.js, React, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, and .NET. Additionally, you have experience with CI/CD tools and databases.
On the AI side, we value experience using agentic AI tools, such as Claude Code, as part of your development workflow and hands-on work building services or features that leverage LLM APIs. Curiosity about where this is heading matters too - whether that's agent frameworks like Deep Agents from LangChain or OpenAI Agents SDK, observability tools like LangSmith, or AI platforms such as Microsoft AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.
Bonus points if you've thought seriously about what CI/CD looks like when your system is non-deterministic and how do you test and evaluate LLM-powered features with confidence.
You don't need to have done all of this - but if agentic, GenAI-powered feature development excites you, we offer excellent opportunities for exactly that.
