In this practical training, you will learn why the role is essential, what makes a successful product owner, and how to work with your team and interact with and involve stakeholders in improving your product.
Through hands-on exercises, you will learn how to:
Apply outcome thinking when creating a product vision and defining the hypothesis. Outcome thinking involves identifying a product's goals and objectives and then working iteratively to make the product come alive.
Refine outcomes to a value-oriented backlog. This outcome-driven model helps product owners focus on the product's most critical aspects and decide what to include and leave out.
Connect experimentation - In addition to outcome thinking, product owners must also be skilled in exploring customer needs and validating their hypotheses about the desired outcomes.
Make crucial priority decisions in a structured manner. Communicate with stakeholders and work with the development team to ensure that the product is delivered on time and within budget.
Involve the right people and stakeholders and lead the whole organisation. Great product owners drive the desired outcomes for the product and target users.
Gain confidence as a product owner and leader. Learn the essence of the product owner role, what makes a successful product owner, how to work with your team, and how to involve the stakeholders in improving your product.
Skills build confidence
The product owner is the hardest and the most crucial role for the success of an agile organisation. The
role is shifting from listing requirements to enabling outcome-based thinking. Join our two-day training to strengthen your know-how and ensure that your products continuously create value.
Product owners must understand the desired outcomes for the product and target users. Outcome thinking involves identifying a product's goals and objectives and then working backwards to determine features and requirements to achieve them. This approach helps product owners focus on the product's most critical aspects and decide what to include and leave out.
