Description

Productivity is often discussed as a driver of competitiveness, but what does it really mean in practice? Work productivity is one category of productivity and is defined mainly as the ratio of value added to the amount of work needed to produce value:

Work Productivity = Value Added / Amount of Work

This means that to improving work productivity requires either increasing the value produced or producing more for the same amount of work. While innovation tends to focus on adding value, there's often untapped potential in reducing the labor inputs through smarter ways of working, such as automation, process improvement or waste elimination.

In this micro learning session, we will look at an often-overlooked side of the equation: the amount of work. Across Finland - and globally - productivity stagnation is a growing concern. But what does it mean for your product development? Are there hidden inefficiencies that are undermining your work productivity, delaying product launches, increasing costs or undermining customer satisfaction?
