April 6, 2021 · 1 min read timeNitor’s open work culture encourages dialogue, and one of the most important values is making everyone feel they are heard. This idea is not limited to the employment relationship – to ensure a mutual match, dialogue is maintained with applicants already at the recruitment stage.
Senior Designer Laura Savolainen, who recently started at Nitor, ended up testing Nitor's recruitment process somewhat by chance through MeetFrank's Instagram ad. The MeetFrank app provides the jobseeker with an opportunity to meet employers anonymously – with the help of an algorithm, the app is able to offer the most relevant openings based on the jobseeker’s skills.
“It is gratifying to get in touch with jobseekers already at the stage when they are only considering applying to Nitor. We don’t need an actual application in order to have a mutually valuable discussion. Like many others, Laura was interested in hearing more about our work culture and, of course, about the work description. We see our recruitment process primarily as a dialogue, and thus it is natural to us to engage in discussions with talents interested in Nitor on a very low threshold,” says People Partner Janne Järvinen, who was in charge of Laura’s recruitment process.
In Laura’s case, a happy conclusion was reached as she ended up submitting the application after receiving answers to questions that had bothered her. The passionate digital designer is continuing down that road – read more about how Laura became a Nitorean from a MeetFrank blog.
