🧑🚀 A brief description of your work
In this role, you will work on ecommerce solutions as part of an experienced team. Your tasks include coding, configuration and implementation of integrations, utilizing APIs, and developing storefront and headless user interfaces. You will participate in designing and implementing technical solutions according to your expertise, ensuring that the end result is high-quality, maintainable, and performant.
You will receive support from experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to grow your responsibilities as you gain experience. At the same time, you will learn to understand customers' business needs and apply technical solutions to support them. You will be involved in developing Nitor's ecommerce and digital commerce expertise, following industry developments and sharing what you learn with the team. With us, you won't jump into a completely ready-made mold, but will get to grow in your role and influence how ecommerce projects are executed.
🤝 We are building our ecommerce and digital commerce expertise
You will be part of building our ecommerce and digital commerce expertise as part of a growing team. For example, Shopify, ElasticPath, Commercetools, and BigCommerce are key platforms in our work, but we also explore other ecommerce solutions and the broader digital commerce ecosystem. Our goal is to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers while continuously developing our own expertise.
When you become our colleague, you will get to participate in building and developing the way we do ecommerce projects at Nitor. You won't jump into a completely ready-made role, but will grow in the position according to your own skills and experience, supported by a skilled team. With us, you will get to do meaningful work, learn new things, and influence what the future of ecommerce development looks like.
Your future colleagues value technical expertise, continuous learning, and a genuine desire to do quality work for customers. If the pieces fall into place, you are exactly who will complete this team, just as you are.
✅ What could you bring with you?
You will succeed in this role when you have experience with, for example, Shopify or other ecommerce platform development, or a strong interest in learning them through practical projects. You have been involved in ecommerce projects and understand how technical solutions support business needs depending on your level of experience, either as part of a team or in a more independent role.
You have experience with or interest in integrations with, for example, ERP, CRM, payment, logistics, and martech systems. When necessary, you build or learn to build custom frontend solutions, for example with React. For us, the most important thing is not perfect mastery of individual technologies, but the ability to learn and apply technologies pragmatically to achieve customers' business objectives.
You work in collaboration with the team and customers, and can justify technical solutions according to your experience. For a more experienced developer, this means more responsibility and independence; for a junior, support, guidance, and the opportunity to grow in the role.
We consider experience with analytics and marketing automation tools an advantage. Fluent Finnish and English language skills are important, as we have customers both domestically and internationally.
The more diverse experience you have, the more responsibility and opportunities the role offers right from the start. However, we don't want to define too precisely what your role should be like; the pieces can fall into place in many different ways.
