🎨 Brief description of your work
As a Frontend Architect at Nitor, you are the team's technical trailblazer who not only implements frontend solutions but also designs and decides how they should be implemented. You get to influence and develop the frameworks and standards within which the entire team operates efficiently.
The most important aspect of your work is the strategic planning of frontend technologies and practices. You build scalable architectures, design systems, and development processes that serve both developers and end users. When needed, you act as a mentor to other frontend developers and ensure that projects move in the right technical direction.
From a technological perspective, React, TypeScript, JavaScript, design systems, microfrontend architectures, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) are part of your daily work. But the most important thing is not the individual technologies, but how you can strategically apply them for clients' benefit and make technology choices that scale and stand the test of time.
You influence the direction frontend development takes. We apply agile development methods, test automation, and continuous delivery in our work. However, more important than following a single method is independent thinking and a pragmatic way of applying proven practices.

✅ What could you bring with you?
You excel in this role when you have a deep understanding of how modern user interfaces and user experiences work and are built. You can both design and implement, combining strategic vision and practical execution.
We're not strict about years of experience, but we've noticed that approximately 10+ years of experience in frontend development and architecture design, especially with consumer-facing user interfaces, helps you operate as a value-adding consultant in client projects.
You have strong expertise in the modern frontend technology stack - React, Vue or Angular, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, design systems, and component libraries are familiar tools for you. You also know how to conduct code reviews and understand how good frontend code is created through teamwork. Performance optimization, accessibility, and testing expertise are advantages.
Since communication is important in a frontend architect's work, we value excellent interpersonal skills. You need to understand users' and clients' needs and be able to present and justify your solutions to the technical team, design team, and other stakeholders.
Fluent Finnish and English language skills are important, as clients are both domestic and international.
The more diverse experience you have, the more opportunities it opens up right from the start. However, we don't want to define too precisely what you should be like - the pieces can fall into place in so many ways.
