Description

Would you like to use your engineering skills to influence how digital products are built?
At Nitor, we’re looking for Product Engineers, experienced developers who think beyond code and care deeply about the purpose behind every feature.

🧑‍🚀 A brief description of your work

As a Product Engineer, you’ll combine strong full-stack expertise with a product mindset: curiosity about users, understanding of business goals, and the drive to make technical decisions that truly matter.

Your work spans the full development stack, from browser-based interfaces to backend systems and cloud infrastructure. What sets you apart is your ability to connect the dots between code, customer needs, and business outcomes. You stay close to the pulse of the product, bringing ideas, feedback, and proven practices into everyday discussions.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and client stakeholders to turn insights into elegant, maintainable software. You take ownership from architecture to validation and iteration after launch, and keep the conversation flowing by sharing perspectives and sparring constructively with your peers. Data and feedback help you refine what you build, while empathy and pragmatism guide your decisions.

Your typical tech stack includes JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS, but our projects also involve a wide range of other technologies. What matters most is your ability to learn, adapt, and reason pragmatically about which tools best serve the product and its users.

Our client projects are challenging and professionally rewarding, offering experienced developers the opportunity to both leverage and deepen their expertise.

✅ What could you bring with you?

Product Engineers at Nitor share a few traits:

  • Curiosity – a constant interest in understanding the why behind every decision

  • Empathy – caring about how people use what you build

  • Pragmatism – knowing when “good enough” is the right call

  • Initiative – proposing better ways to do things, not just following specs

  • *Communication – explaining trade-offs clearly across disciplines

You’ll thrive here if you’ve built complex web applications, worked with multiple technologies, and enjoy collaborating with non-engineers as well. Typically, this means around 7+ years of experience, but what matters most is your depth of understanding and your drive to make a difference. Fluency in both Finnish and English is essential, as we work with clients both domestically and internationally.

🏆 What if you choose us?

We believe recruitment isn't about a company choosing a new employee. You ultimately make the choice. And we can help you with that.

You should contact us if:

  • You feel that community spirit and wishing well for colleagues are meaningful values in working life

  • It's okay for you to work normal hours and ensure that time off and work stay in balance

  • You want to build quality products with modern technologies and architectures

Your work and daily life are supported by diverse benefits and opportunities, for example:

  • You can use 10% of your work time for professional development

  • €7,100 "Rautapankki" (Iron Bank) for tool and home office purchases, which replenishes monthly

  • Full paid holidays from the start of employment regardless of start date

  • €100-2,000 bonus for each certificate you complete

  • Shared trips, events, and hobby groups from running clubs to board game circles
