🧑‍🚀 Your future role

As a Solution Architect at Nitor, you will work at the intersection of business needs and technology requirements. You will design systems and infrastructure that support our clients’ business processes. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders such as business leaders, developers, project managers, and customers.

As a Solution Architect, you ensure that the designed solutions align with industry standards and the client’s technological direction. You stay on top of industry trends and assess how new technologies or architectural paradigms could benefit our clients. Additionally, you play an important role in sales and supporting sales efforts.

Depending on your interests, you can also participate in Nitor’s internal technology strategy work and help develop our learning community, for example through mentoring.

Our client projects are typically challenging yet professionally rewarding - they offer even experienced architects the opportunity to both leverage and deepen their expertise. Project durations range from one year to several years, depending on your preferences. In most projects, you work as part of the client’s development team alongside other experienced Nitor colleagues.

✅ What helps you succeed as a Solution Architect at Nitor?

  • You understand business needs and can translate them into technical solutions, for example by designing an optimal architecture tailored to the client’s goals and requirements.

  • We don’t count years too strictly, but we’ve found that 8+ years of experience in architectural design across various services/products helps you deliver real added value in client projects.

  • You have skills in programming, integrations, and platforms such as Databricks, Kafka, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).

  • We value excellent communication skills, as a key part of the architect’s role is understanding (and when needed, challenging) the client’s needs, as well as presenting and justifying your solutions.

  • Fluency in Finnish is strongly preferred, as many of our client projects and communications happen in Finnish.

  • Bonus points for experience across different industries (such as retail or finance), knowledge of composable architecture, or expertise in procurement processes.
