As a Solution Architect at Nitor, you are the strategic thinker who understands clients' deepest business needs and transforms them into innovative technology solutions. You don't just design systems – you create comprehensive solutions that truly change how clients operate.
You work closely with business management, developers, and clients, acting as a translator between these worlds. You follow industry developments, seeking opportunities.
From a technological perspective, for example, Databricks, Kafka, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) are part of your daily work. But what matters most isn't which technologies you know, but how you can apply them to advance client success.
Our client projects are typically challenging, comprehensive endeavors lasting from one to several years, where you get to truly utilize and deepen your expertise. In most projects, you work as part of the client's development team together with other experienced Nitorians.
Depending on your interests, you can also participate in Nitor's internal technological strategy work and develop our learning work community through mentoring.

You excel in this role when you have a deep understanding of business needs and the ability to translate them into technical solutions. You can design optimal architecture for clients based on their goals and needs.
We're not strict about years of experience, but we've noticed that approximately 8+ years of experience in architectural design, especially with consumer-facing digital solutions, helps you operate as a true value creator in client projects.
You have practical programming experience and understand what writing code actually feels like. Integrations and various platforms are familiar to you, and you can evaluate the feasibility of solutions from a technical perspective as well. Technologies evolve, but the most important thing is the ability to absorb new knowledge and apply expertise for clients' benefit.
Since communication is at the core of an architect's work, we value excellent interpersonal skills. You need to understand client needs (and challenge them when necessary), and be able to present and justify your solutions convincingly. We are looking for fluent Finnish and English language skills.
The more experience you have from different industries or specialized expertise like Composable architecture, the more opportunities it opens from the very beginning. However, we don't want to define too precisely what you should be like – the pieces can fall into place in so many ways.
