Description

Are you a mobile developer looking for projects where you can build high-quality applications using modern technologies and architectures? Would you like to work on long-term projects where you can see the impact of your work and continuously improve applications? As a Senior Mobile Developer at Nitor, you combine technical expertise with customer-centric thinking to build applications that truly serve their users.

📱 A brief description of your work

As a Senior Mobile Developer at Nitor, you are the team's mobile expert who masters native and/or cross-platform mobile development. Depending on the project, you work on iOS and/or Android platforms developing native applications with Swift and Kotlin, or cross-platform solutions with React Native.

You get to work with the latest technologies such as SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose, and React Native. A solid foundation is what quality applications are built upon. That's why we always strive to use the best possible and modern architectural solutions, such as reactive programming, unidirectional dataflow, MVVM, and clean architecture.

The most important thing in your work is understanding that we develop comprehensive and long-term applications. You take responsibility for application maintenance and quality improvement over the long term – you don't just implement features but ensure that the code remains maintainable and high-quality for years to come.

We apply agile development methods, test automation, and continuous delivery in our work. However, more important than following a single methodology is independent thinking and a pragmatic approach to applying proven practices.

Mobile development projects typically last from one year to several years, depending on your preferences. In most projects, you work as part of the client's development team, which includes other experienced Nitoreans.

🤝 We continuously develop our mobile expertise

We have experience in implementing demanding, technically interesting mobile applications. Our customer satisfaction is top-notch, and we continuously develop our operations.

Our gaze is firmly on the future. When you become our colleague, we believe it will take us another step forward – while we look for technically interesting assignments that support your career. With us, you get to create the kind of work life you envision, influencing our shared future.

Your future mobile colleagues value high technical expertise, continuous learning, and a genuine desire to do quality work for clients. If the pieces fall into place, you will complement this group exactly as you are.

✅ What could you bring with you?

You will excel in this role when you have a deep understanding of how quality mobile applications work and are built. Our mobile projects are typically challenging entities, which requires following the field and a good knowledge of software development principles. You understand, for example, why singletons are problematic and why dependency injection is beneficial. Asynchronous programming is familiar to you.

You have several years of experience in software development with various services and products, so you can act as a value-adding expert in your client projects. Our clients often expect close to ten years of relevant experience in mobile development.

You have written unit tests and perhaps even some integration tests. Interest in cloud environments, such as AWS and Firebase, is considered an advantage. You are familiar with platform-independent software frameworks that can be used to implement applications for different devices and understand the importance of agile quality assurance practices in mobile development.

We value a passionate approach to producing quality code, writing tests, and the ability to master new viable technologies. It's important to us to be able to work agilely to achieve the team's common goals in a customer-centric environment. Therefore, we value good teamwork skills as well as consultative and customer-centric thinking.

Fluent Finnish and English language skills are important, as we have clients both domestically and internationally.

The more diverse experience you have, the more opportunities it opens up from the very beginning. However, we don't want to define too precisely what you should be like – the pieces can fall into place in so many ways.

🏆 What if you chose us?

We believe that recruitment is not about the company choosing a new employee. You ultimately make the choice. And we can help you with that.

You should contact us if:

  • you want to work on meaningful, long-term mobile projects instead of short projects

  • skilled colleagues working alongside you, excellent development opportunities, and optimal working conditions are important to you

  • you feel that community spirit and wishing well for colleagues are meaningful values in working life

  • it's okay for you to work normal hours and ensure that time off and work stay in balance

  • you want to build quality mobile applications with modern technologies and architectures

Your work and daily life are also supported by diverse benefits and opportunities, for example:

  • You can use 10% of your working time for professional development

  • €7,100 "Hardware Bank" for equipment and home office purchases, replenished monthly
