👩💻 About the role
In mobile development, our most significant development platforms are iOS and Android. We develop native applications using Swift, Objective-C, and Kotlin as well as cross-platform solutions with React Native. You will also have a chance to put your knowledge into practice using the newest technologies, such as SwiftUI and Jetpack Compose.
A solid foundation forms the basis for a high-quality application, so we always try to use the best possible and most modern architectural solutions, such as reactive programming, unidirectional dataflow, MVVM, and clean architecture. We develop broad and long-lasting applications, meaning you will be responsible for keeping the application up-to-date and ensuring its high quality over time.
The duration of our mobile projects usually ranges between one year and multiple years, depending on your preferences. In most projects, you will be part of the customer's development team with other experienced Nitoreans.
✅ What is needed to succeed as a mobile developer at Nitor?
Typically, our mobile projects are challenging, so we appreciate that you keep up to date with your area of expertise and know the principles of software development. As an example, you understand why singleton is bad, and dependency injection is good. You are familiar with Asynchronous Programming.
You possess multiple years of programming experience (typically, our clients expect closer to a decade of experience) and have developed different kinds of services and/or products, allowing you to work in your customer projects as a value-adding expert.
You have written unit tests and perhaps also an integration test. Interest in cloud environments, such as AWS and Firebase, is seen as an advantage.
You are familiar with platform-independent software frameworks that enable you to develop applications for various primary devices. You also understand why agile quality assurance practices are essential in mobile development.
We value a passionate approach to creating high-quality program code, writing tests, and being capable of mastering new relevant technologies.
The ability to work agilely in a customer-centric environment to achieve the team's shared goals is essential to us. Hence, being a team player and having a consultative and customer-centric mindset is highly valued.
Professional proficiency in Finnish and English
